Hey, There! So you found me after all. My name is Jens H. Altmann. I was born in 1963, I’m married and I live in Hamburg, Germany. I write. You ask what I write? Essentially, I’ll write anything for a buck and a byline.

I write in English and in German. I write non-fiction for magazines, comics and websites. I write comics, novels, short stories, and screenplays. In cooperation with my wife (and by myself, if they let me), I write translations of manga and anime. 

Mostly, I write in the fantasy, science fiction and horror genres. I’m not afraid of other genres, however. 

One of my main frustrations is that I frequently hear people say, “Oh, you wrote that?” It always seems as if everyone knows my work, but nobody connects it with my name. I hope this site will contribute to changing that. 

Please note that the English and the German parts of this site are not identical in content. I write and publish in both languages. So it made sense to me to reflect this in my website. The English section focuses only on my English language publications, while the German section only looks at my work in German.
